       On 18th Jan 2018, ceremony in Hanoi signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of scientific and medical research on HIV/AIDS and hepatitis viruses between the Ministry of health and the national research agency on HIV/AIDS and hepatitis (ANRS) in France.

Vietnam Ministry of health and the ANRS sign cooperation agreement

Attending the ceremony are Prof. Nguyen Thanh Long, PhD -  Vice Minister of Health; Prof. Francoise Barre Sinoussi, PhD -  Program coordinator of the ANRS Vietnam cooperation; The professional and leadership/Service Bureau/Office; Some experts in the ANRS organization, represented the point of ANRS research in Vietnam.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Nguyen Thanh Long, PhD appreciated the contributions of the Organization of the work of ANRS HIV/AIDS over the years and look forward to continued support for the Organization of Vietnam deployed activities, HIV/AIDS in the next year.

At the ceremony, PROF.. TS. Nguyen Thanh Long, Vice Minister of the Ministry of health and the GS. TS. Francoise Barre Sinoussi, Coordinator of the ANRS Vietnam cooperation programme signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of scientific and medical research on HIV/AIDS and hepatitis viruses. According to this record, the ANRS (French Republic) will support about science and finance for the collaborative research facility called "point researching the ANRS Vietnam". The point of this research will develop and promote joint activities, exchange of experiences, transfer of technology and implementation methodologies, support staff training and development of scientific and technical research projects related to disease characteristics in Selection by the two sides.

Cooperation between the Vietnam Ministry of health and the national research agency on HIV/AIDS and hepatitis (ANRS) in France are seen as bright spots in the relationship and cooperation between the two countries. ANRS important role for France's scientific presence in Vietnam, evidenced by the year-long commitment in Vietnam of Professor Françoise Barré Sinoussi, recipient of the Nobel in medicine in 2008, she also holds the role of the Coordinator for the points ANRS research in Vietnam in 18 years. This agreement also stipulates, the Bureau of HIV/AIDS is the Vietnam Ministry of Health Affairs is the focal agency in partnership with responsible elected ANRS 1 a scientific coordinator and a French scientific coordinator are also ANRS appointed to coordinate all the activities of the ANRS research in Vietnam.
