Conference on electing President and Secretary of NDUN Council

Implement the revised Law on Higher Education 2018 came into effective from 1^st July 2019 and passed by the XIV National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at its 6th session on 19^th November 2018; Under the direction of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Training, NDUN Party Committee, on 24^th June 2020, there was the first plenary session of NDUN Council to elect President and Secretary of NDUN Council.

Attending the conference, on the side of the guest, there was Mr. Bui Hoang Tung - Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises in Nam Dinh Province; Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen - Chief of Office of Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises in Nam Dinh Province.

On the side of NDUN Council, there were 18 out of members selected by all NDUN staffs on 19^th June 2020 for the term 2020 - 2025. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Thanh Tung – NDUN Rector chaired the Conference.

Deliver the speech at the conference, Assoc. Prof.Dr.Le Thanh Tung – NDUN Rector emphasized the important role of NDUN Council in the coming time: NDUN Council has the power to decide on the strategy, development plans, and product plans of NDUN; to promulgate regulations on organization and operation, financial and democracy regulations at the grassroots in accordance with the general provisions of the law; to decide the plan of enrollment, opening a new training branch, establishing and merging units under the school and the recruitment and remuneration regimes for officials and employees…

        The members attending the meeting discussed, exchanged and secretly voted to elect the President and Secretary of NDUN School Council according to the regulations. Results: Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Tung – NDUN Rector was selected to be the President of NDUN Council; Dr. Do Minh Sinh - Member of the Party Committee, Head of Scientific Research Management Department was selected as NDUN Council by all members at the meeting.

After the meeting, Nam Dinh Nursing University will submit to the Ministry of Health for approval the decision to establish NDUN Council and appoint the President and Secretary of NDUN Council according to regulations.
