Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien - Deputy Minister of Health affirmed that women and children should be given physical and mental health care. In particular, obstetric death is caused by series of delays in deciding to seek medical help, moving to medical institutions and receiving adequate and appropriate treatment. At the same time, it is difficult to prevent malnutrition and stunting. However these could be reduced to zero or near zero if there are no new cases with mulnutrition and stunting.

MIECD is an important initiative of the Comprehensive Child Development Project (PTTETD) - a project that requires a multi-sectoral and inter-ministerial approach to ensure early child care and adoption set out in the Law on children that has been issued. MIECD is a modern and innovative mobile technology system that allows important data collection and and information analysis of mothers and their children based on real time to support health workers to provide reasonable and timely interventions to save mothers and children.
