Attending the workshop there were Dr. Le Thanh Tung - NDUN Rector, Dr. Truong Anh - NDUN Vice Rector, reporters and 56 trainees.

The reporters presented an overview of competency based practice including the principles and purposes of competency-based assessments; provided the principles and methods for developing evaluation plans and standardized assessment methods; discussed with participants the pros and cons of each method as well as it's feasibility when it is applicated at the departments.

After the presentation of the reporters, with the support of trainers, the participants were divided into groups (Faculty of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Pre-Clinical Center) to discuss the guideline forms of scoring theory, practice, and clinic; find out amendments, supplements, feasibility and difficulties in application for a proper development in the real teaching situation. At the end of the workshop, groups of participants reported the results after discussing the development of an assessment tool for their department.
