NDUN celebrated its Tradition Day (16th March)

       On March 16th, 2004, the Decision of establishing Nam Dinh University of Nursing University was announced by the Prime Minister. From the day of becoming the first nursing univesity acros the country, NDUN staffs have tried their best in every task to promote good traditions, develop NDUN training quality and reputation over the past decade. 

       In order to remind NDUN staffs and students to respect, preserve and promote  NDUN precious tradition; and be proud of NDUN that has been developed by NDUN generations of staffs, on March 11th, 2013, the Minister of Health signed a Decision of recognizing the day of 16th March as NDUN traditional day.

    Over nearly 60 years of establishment and development with the glorious paths of NDUN generations of lecturers and students, Nam Dinh University of Nursing has been more beautiful and become a digging training institution. NDUN training quality has been affirmed in the national higher education system; gradually integrated in the region and the world. NDUN has had more and more contribution to the health sector and the country.

       Back to the early days of establishment, Nam Dinh University of Nursing formerly named as Nam Dinh Physician School was established on July 8th, 1960. Then it was renamed as Nam Ha Medical School. On September 12th, 1981 it was upgraded to Nam Dinh Medical College by the Council of Ministers under the Decision No. 65 / HDBT.

       On July 25th, 1988, Nam Dinh Medical College and Thai Binh Medical University were merged by Ministry of Health  under Decision No. 624 / BYT-QD. On February 26th, 2004, Nam Dinh Medical College became Nam Dinh University of Nurisng by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem under Decision No. 24/2004 / QD-TTg with its headquarters at 257 Han Thuyen Street, Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province.

       Up to now, Nam Dinh UNiversity of Nursing has become one of the centers for training multi-level human resources about Nursing - Midwifery, Nutrition and Public Health. training nursing teachers for secondary schools, colleges, medical universities training nursing in Vietnam, other countries. NDUN is also an institution for scientific research, technology application and transfer.
